Welcome to my website... it looks like you have found my blog! For my first blog post, I thought I would introduce myself. This feels awkward because I rarely know what to say about myself let alone write about myself, so bare with me.
My name is Ashliegh, I am 27 years old and I reside in Spruce Grove. I was born and raised in the #YEG area. By day, I am an administrative assistant at a local psychology office and by night, I am a Pole Fitness instructor. I have been in my current position for two years and instructing fitness classes for just over three years. In my spare evenings, I enjoy woodworking and have launched a website for that (#shamlessplug www.asquared.design) and now, organizing!
I am dominantly left brained which means I am very analytical, methodical, orderly. The organization trait seems to come naturally. I like to think that I am a great problem solver and can apply my logical thinking to almost any challenge and create a solution.
As I begin to dip my toe into this new venture of Professional Organizing and Virtual Assistance, I am beginning to think about what my Vision and Mission statements will be. What my "elevator pitch" will sound like.
Right now, my drive to begin organizing is a desire to create safe, clean spaces for those that may not be as naturally inclined to do so themselves. In my day to day life, I have noticed that my mood, appetite and general desire to do things are greatly affected by the condition of my home.
"If my house is a mess, my car is a mess. If my car is a mess, my desk at work is a mess. If my desk at work is a mess..."
I do not know many people that genuinely enjoy cleaning up for hours and hours after working a full shift, taking care of dinner, themselves, kids and animals. In fact, I feel my own anxiety creep up just at the very thought of that! I truly believe that when you have a clean, clutter-free, organized and tidy home, everything else will fall into line naturally. By eliminating clutter in my own home, I open up more time for myself to do the things that I actually enjoy doing.
I also believe that if you have a skill that someone can benefit from, you should share it with the world. So that is what I am setting out to do. That is my Why. At least for now. I cannot wait to see how it evolves as time passes and experience is gained.
